What You'll Get: Workship Session Breakdown BEFORE YOU JOIN: All sessions are hands-on and require a desktop or laptop — you'll be actively working in design software of your choice, but A cell phone or tablet login won't work for this program. Session 1 — Find Your Brand Uncover what makes you and your work distinct — from the fonts and colors that speak to you, to the one skill you want to lead with. You'll leave with a clear personal brand direction to build the rest of your portfolio around. **Have your social media accounts accessible** Session 2 — Build the Story Take everything you've made — sketches, renderings, projects — and turn the pile into a prioritized, visual narrative. You'll walk out with a working set of curated portfolio pages ready for refinement. **Have all files and images necessary ready** Session 3 — Finalize and Polish Fine-tune layout, hierarchy, and presentation with expert design tips, so your final portfolio is client- and employer-ready. Commercial-Specific Evaluation Criteria Throughout the program, you'll also learn the critical commercial-specific criteria that hiring managers in architecture and interior design firms use to evaluate portfolios. This includes technical and design skill standards such as: design process visibility (sketches and step-by-step thinking, not just final renders), spatial planning, material and lighting knowledge, technical/construction understanding, software proficiency (listed in plain text, not icons), code and ADA compliance awareness, business and functionality understanding (branding, retail/workplace function), and individual contribution clarity on team projects.
